Finnish Epilepsy Association
Finnish Epilepsy Association (FEA) is a national non-profit organisation established in 1969. We support the well-being of people with epilepsy and their loved ones during their different life stages and offer them activities, peer support and reliable expertise. We also help prevent prejudice and discrimination. We work for social participation, communality and equality. Our operations are open to all.
The FEA includes 21 local epilepsy associations, which have about 6,000 members. Local epilepsy associations offer information, activities and support to people with epilepsy and their loved ones during different stages of their lives. Together, we form an epilepsy community that puts the focus on the everyday life and experiences of people with epilepsy and their loved ones.
FEA is funded by the Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisation STEA.
